The 2020 Canadian Bone and Joint Conference welcomed speakers from around the globe. With over 225 attendees the conference was a venue for both researchers and their trainees to share research in a time where most opportunities had been canceled.  

Western's BJI in partnership with the Canadian Network for Mobility Research (CaNMoR) and the Canadian MSK Rehab Research Network, welcomed researchers and knowledge users from across the country and beyond to the 4th Biennial Canadian Bone and Joint Conference (CBJC) and the Canadian Bone and Joint Young Investigator’s Forum (CBJY).  This event ran virtually from June 11th through June 13th 2020.

This event brought together experts spanning multi-disciplinary areas in musculoskeletal (MSK) research in a unique interactive online format to allowing the MSK research community a much needed avenue for collaborative research to fulfill a vision of Lifelong Mobility for All.

The next Canadian Bone and Joint Conference is expected to be offered in 2022. Stay tuned for more details.

2018

 2018 2018 Canadian Bone & Joint Conference included over 300 attendees in London, Ontario.  With over 300 attendees including researchers, clinicians, trainees, patient representatives and industry partners, the 2018 edition of the CBJC more than doubled its previous attendance numbers. Thanks to the generous support of our partners including Western University’s Bone & Joint Institute, Canadian MSK Rehab Research Network and numerous industry sponsors the confernence was well received and plans began to deliver the next conference in 2020.

The second (now renamed) Canadian Bone and Joint Conference welcomed over 140 people to London on April 8 and 9, 2016. The number of participants increased by 22% from the oringial conference in 2014. Faculty, trainees, industry, NGO and consumer representatives registered from across North America (e.g. Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, New York) to participate in the 7 keynote addresses, many oral presentations, and multiple poster sessions.

2014

 confernce_poster2014.jpg The inagural Bone and Joint Injury and Repair Conference was held January 16-17 of 2014. The 2014 conference featured speakers from accross North America.  The two day event included poster sessions as well as workshops to take advantage of the brain trust that had gathered  to begin the building of an MSK community beyond just Western.
